Set up guardrails and control zones (bump/Warning lines) creating a safe work environment.
Ensure all material and equipment is secured at the end of each work day.
Sweep/Vacuum gravel from existing Built-up roof system.
Remove existing metal and dispose off site as required.
Remove the existing roof system to the level of the roof deck surface and dispose of it at an
authorized disposal site.
Remove redundant curbs, cones, sleeves etc. and match new deck to existing.
Existing wood blocking to remain. Supply and install new wood blocking around perimeter to
accommodate height of new insulation.
Install new plywood sheathing at perimeter walls to facilitate new EPDM flashing's.
Over a clean roof deck surface apply one layer of Kraft reinforced vapour barrier ensuring
sufficient embedment into adhesive. Fully seal all end and side laps.
Supply and install a mechanically fastened 60 mil EPDM membrane in strict accordance with
manufactures written instructions.
Supply and install perimeter fixation requirements as per manufacture’s details at all
perimeters, walls, curbs and openings.
Supply and install 60 mil EPDM membrane flashing in approved adhesive at perimeters, walls
and curbs.
Existing roof drains to remain. If drains cannot be reused, supply and install aluminum roof
drain inserts with MJ clamps and vandal proof dome strainer as required. \
Supply and install aluminum stack jacks at plumber vents in accordance with EPDM
specifications.
Supply and install new aluminum steel tall cones flashing complete with flash band tape as
required in accordance with EPDM specifications.
Fabricate and install 24Ga. Pre-finished (Standard Stock Colour) metal cap flashing to
exposed perimeter edges.
