014 - CCD - Design-Bid-Build Renovation Project

Community Care Durham (CCD) is embarking on a transformative renovation project to establish a Community Health and Wellness Centre in Whitby, Ontario. This initiative aligns with CCD’s vision to significantly impact the community by enabling older adults and vulnerable residents to live safely and independently. The project is driven by a strategic objective to address the growing needs of the aging population in the Durham Region through an integrated approach to health and wellness services.
The project will be primarily funded by a grant dedicated to revitalizing Units 3-6 at 20 Sunray St., Whitby, transforming these units into a multi-functional, community-centric facility. This renovation project aims to create a “home away from home” for clients, offering comprehensive services and fostering a supportive environment that enhances the quality of life for Durham residents.
