SLFNHA - 2021-RFQ-01 - Dental Equipment

This Request for Quotations (the “RFQ”) is an invitation by the Sioux Lookout First Nations Health
Authority (“SLFNHA”) to prospective respondents to submit non-binding quotations for technologies
that mitigate the spread of infectious disease in dental operatories, as further described in Section
A of the RFQ Particulars (Appendix D) (the “Deliverables”).
SLFNHA is working with five Sioux Lookout area Tribal Councils and independent First Nations to
assess 26 community-based dental facilities. Designated First Nations dental points-of-care will be
assessed against Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario (RCDSO) guidelines for mitigating
spread of infectious disease.
In 21 of the 26 operatories suction is delivered by ADEC Decade 2562/ADEC Cascade Duocarts.
These units do not meet RCDSO aerosol generating procedure requirements and will need to be
replaced by standards-based alternatives. Responses to this request for quotation will price central
vacuum replacements for the Duocart and a solution to dental instrument storage once the Duocart is
no longer in use.
