Description

The SMDHU currently relies on five disparate Information Systems and myriad of independent spreadsheets to manage Financial and Human Resource information and processes. As a minimum the SMDHU needs to procure and implement an Integrated Finance, Purchasing and Payroll System with the following components:

General Ledger and Financial Reporting
Accounts Payable
Accounts Receivable
Materials Management (including purchasing)
Expense Reporting
Budgeting and Forecasting
Commitment Accounting
Cost Accounting/Project Costing
Fixed Assets
Cash Management
Payroll (The proposed system must have the capability of integrating with the current Payroll Service Provider (Pay Web) and a robust integrated Payroll component with the capability of integrating with Kronos Workforce Central.)

In replacing the current systems, SMDHU is seeking to increase automation and gain efficiency. The Successful Proponent will bring this perspective to the implementation plan assessing and making recommendations for management’s consideration on SMDHU workflow and processes based on the vendor knowledge of best practices and the tools available in the software platform.

While not required in the first phase of implementation, our preference is to procure and implement an Enterprise Resource Planning System that also includes the following components:

Human Resources Information System
Learning Management
Occupational Health and Safety
Staff Scheduling

SMDHU intends to enter into an agreement for an initial implementation period commencing December 1, 2017 followed by a five (5) year support contract with an option to renew, at SMDHU discretion, for up to two (2) additional three (3) year terms.
