The SaskPower Island Falls Hydro Station located approximately 15 kilometres from the village of Sandy Bay, SK.

Description

This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by the Saskatchewan Power Corporation (“SaskPower”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for the provision of Island Falls Hydro Station Concrete Rehabilitation - Phase 8, as further described in the RFP Particulars (Appendix A) (the “ Work”).

SaskPower is a Saskatchewan Crown Corporation continued under The Power Corporation Act (Saskatchewan). It is principally responsible for the generation, transmission and distribution of electricity for most of Saskatchewan.

SaskPower is seeking to engage a contractor to provide labour, tools, equipment, and expertise required to replace the existing concrete deck on the tail race with a new concrete deck, remove the existing stop log lifter on Main Dam, and repair the existing trestle bridge as per the drawings and specifications as further described within the RFP.

There will be a Mandatory Site Meeting at Island Falls Hydro Station on April 4, 2019 at 10:00am CST.

SaskPower has reserved a plane to depart at 8:00am CST from Saskatoon, SK (hanger location to be confirmed once attendance is verified). Proponents should be ready to depart at 7:30am CST at the provided hanger location.

Seat availability will be limited to one (1) person/company and SaskPower reserves the right to refuse a spot on the flight to proponents that are not potential proponents or subcontractors for the Request for Proposal, scope of work, as the site meeting and associated flights are of considerable cost to SaskPower. Site meeting attendees shall RSVP to the Procurement Personnel named on the RFP cover page, by email at procurementinquiries@saskpower.com no later than March 29, 2019 at 4:00pm CST.

PPE required including CSA approved hi-vis clothing, hearing protection, safety glasses, hard hat and safety footwear.
