Description

The purpose of this RFP is to invite qualified firms to submit proposals to perform an economic impact of tourism study for the County of Huron. The intent of the research is to enable:

- Demonstration of the contribution tourism currently makes to the economy of the county to justify continued or renewed support of destination management organizations (DMOs), tourism research, etc.)
- Monitoring the performance of the tourism industry, and identification of trends
- Provision of tools to various levels of local government, the RTO, and DMOs to set priorities/inform strategic and infrastructure planning

RTO4 is interested in working with the selected firm in establishing the 5 – 6 key performance indicators in measuring and benchmarking the economic impact of tourism for the region, conducting the primary research to collect that information, and then receiving a findings report/summary infographic.

RTO4 is heavily invested in innovative thinking, and out-of-the-box approaches and would be open to investigating ground-breaking economic impact models.

Your proposal must:

• Be submitted electronically (Adobe PDF file preferred). Your submission should not exceed 10 pages in length.

• Be accompanied by a cover letter and/or e-mail personally signed or signed by an authorized representative of your company certifying the accuracy of all information contained in your submission and acknowledging your company’s offer of services according to the terms and conditions of this RFP.

• Include responses to all questions. Please cite each question in framing your responses and provide clear and concise answers. Ambiguous statements such as “all reasonable effort to provide” must be avoided.

Any submissions over the 10-page limit will automatically be excluded from the evaluation process.

1. Provide your company’s history.
2. Demonstrate your team’s experience in working with the economic impact of tourism.
3. Specify the project team leader/liaison and primary team members who will be working on our account and their bios.
4. Outline your proposed approach to delivery, referencing the requirements and desired intents. Specify any assumptions.
5. Provide 3 client references.
6. Provide a quotation of your proposed process and describe how your billing process works, including a cost breakdown as appropriate.
7. Provide any information you believe will be helpful in assessing your capabilities.
