The RDCK is requesting proposals from qualified, experienced companies to provide and undertake construction services at the CRESTON COMMUNITY PARK as per the revised scope of work. The RDCK intends to evaluate and negotiate with proponents to find a solution which will effectively upgrade and provide the best value to the CRESTON COMMUNITY PARK. The RDCK is open to reviewing proposals that utilize alternate materials, construction methods and/or schedules and which fit within the framework of the project scope and intent and meet all required Codes, Acts and Regulations.
The work is located at the Creston Community Complex Park at 312, 19 Ave N, Creston, BC V0B 1G5.
The Work will include but is not limited to the following list and is more fully described in the tender documents (Drawings, Specification, Schedule of Prices) and listed below:
• Supply and installation of all hard surfacing within the site area, including concrete paths, asphalt parking lot and all other surfacing;
• Supply and installation of specified retaining walls;
• Supply and installation of all required site furnishings including all required footings and base material;
• Supply and installation of all sports courts;
• Supply and installation of playground, including all structures, toys, furnishings and all other necessary items;
• Supply and installation of all landscaping, topsoil and plantings;
• Erection of site hoarding and maintenance of hoarding until the park opens to the public;
• The Contractor should allow for the retention of some site fencing to protect deficiency items (e.g seeded/sod areas, concrete works etc.) post the park opening;
• Civil infrastructure works, connections for drainage, pipe installation, manholes, swales, catchbasins, ESC measures and allowing for all required connections to ensure the civil works are complete and fully functional;
• Site excavation, grading and preparation, base material preparation, coordination with geo-technical engineer (including allowing for continued site instruction to ensure the required compaction tests are met) and ensuring the site and its surroundings remain undamaged, clean, and in good order.
Proposals will be accepted until 4:00pm local time on April 25, 2019.
