Description

Invitation to Proponents
This Request for Proposals ("RFP") is an invitation to prospective Proponents to submit proposals for the provision of “A Fully Automated Random Access Supplemental Assay System for the Detection of Antibodies to Hepatitis C in Human Serum or Plasma”, as further described in Part 2 - The Deliverables (the “Deliverables"). This RFP is issued by the Ontario Agency for Health Protection and Promotion (“Public Health Ontario") (www.PublicHealthOntario.ca).

Background
The Hepatitis Department at PHO has been a reference center for anti-Hepatitis C supplemental testing for private, community and eleven (11) PHO regional laboratories in Ontario for over ten (10) years. This test is used to confirm all anti-Hepatitis C positive screen results required in the diagnosis of Hepatitis C. Supplemental testing for anti-Hepatitis C positive screen results is required due to the high false positive rate in anti-Hepatitis C screening.

Contract Period
The term of the agreement is to be for a period three (3) years with an option in favour of Public Health Ontario to extend the agreement on the same terms and conditions for up to two (2) additional one year terms. It is anticipated that the agreement will be executed on or around June 1, 2018.

In order to be considered, proposals in response to this RFP must be received by the Ontario Agency for Health Protection & Promotion, no later than 11:00:00 a.m., Toronto time, July 20, 2017.

Proponents must obtain tender package through MERX.
