AB-2020-05060 - Request for Proposals (RFP), Investment Management and Custodial Services

This RFP is issued by Genesis Reciprocal Insurance Exchange (“Genesis”) to invite experienced and qualified Proponents to submit their detailed Proposals for investment management and investment custodial services to satisfy the requirements of Genesis and the terms of its investment Policy.

Genesis is a reciprocal insurance exchange which began underwriting on January 1, 2003. It provides comprehensive liability (including cyber), property and automobile physical damage insurance to its subscribers which include members and associate members of the Rural Municipalities of Alberta (“RMA”). Genesis is licensed in the province of Alberta and, as a licensed insurer, Genesis is subject to the Insurance Act (Alberta) and to the regulation of the Alberta Superintendent of Insurance.

Genesis Reciprocal Insurance Exchange (Genesis) provides its subscribers with a sustainable competitive source of risk financing and fosters a culture of risk management and program ownership.

Genesis Reciprocal Insurance Exchange and Jubilee Reciprocal Insurance Exchange (JRIE) were combined into the current Genesis Reciprocal in November 2016 with the execution of the Transfer and Assumption agreement. This process began three years prior with the merging of the reciprocal renewal dates, as part of our continuing efforts to create greater efficiency and cost savings for our subscribers. Genesis continually looks forward to further the growth and success of the program.

To be considered in the RFP process, a Proponent’s Proposal must be received by the Proposal Submission Deadline.
Proponents must submit their Proposals in PDF form via email, or on a flash drive (or other approved electronic means, to the RFP contact. The PDF copy must contain completed and signed Form A. Proponents must also including an electronic copy of the main body of the Proposal in searchable format.
