The final results will not be released until a contract has been awarded by the City.
The Work to be undertaken is generally described as: Outfall Structure Improvements Project in the City
of St. Albert. Includes:
• Outfall 5 – Riel Dr:
1) Remove, dispose of and replace headwall and flare end
2) Remove, dispose of and replace dislodged upstream pipe segments to the 900mm (west) pipe
3) Remove and dispose of tree, vegetation and/or sediment
4) Supply & Install chain link safety fence around outfall structure
5) Supply & Install standard swing grate on 900mm and 750mm storm pipes
6) Erosion remediation around outfall structure, including repair of large sink hole, placement
fabric and Class 1 riprap
7) Flush outfall of any sediments
8) Restoration of working areas to existing conditions; and
9) Two (2) years of inspection and maintenance of outfall structure and landscaping
• Outfall 7B – behind SAP:
1) CCTV Inspect pipe and replace upstream 375mm pipe segment(s)
2) Erosion remediation around outfall structure, including repair of sinkhole located upstream
from 375mm pipe to walking trail, placement of fabric and Class 1 riprap
3) Remove and dispose of tree, vegetation and/or sediment
4) Supply and install standard swing grate on outfall structure
5) Flush outfall of any sediments
6) Restoration of working areas to existing conditions; and
7) Two (2) years of inspection and maintenance of outfall structure and landscaping
• Outfall 9 – beside 7B:
1) Erosion remediation around outfall structure, including fabric and Class 1 riprap
2) Remove and dispose of existing guard rail
3) Remove and dispose of tree (2), vegetation, and/or sediment
4) Supply & install chain link safety fence on existing headwall structure
5) Flush outfall of any sediments
6) Restoration of working areas to existing conditions; and
7) Two (2) years of inspection and maintenance of outfall structure and landscaping
Outfall 11D:
1) Remove and dispose of broken flare end
2) CCTV Inspect pipe and repair (re-line or replace) upstream 1200mm pipe segments and
connect to new outfall structure
3) Remove and dispose of vegetation and small tree in outfall structure
4) Supply & install new standard headwall and flare end
5) Supply & Install chain link safety fence around outfall structure
6) Supply & Install standard swing grate on outfall structure
7) Erosion remediation around outfall structure, including repair of sink hole, placement of
fabric and Class 1 riprap
8) Flush outfall of any sediments
9) Restoration of working areas to existing conditions; and
10) Two (2) years of inspection and maintenance of outfall structure and landscaping
• Outfall N6 – Otter Cres:
1) CCTV Inspect pipe and replace upstream 900mm pipe segment (1st segment)
2) Remove and dispose of vegetation and tree in outfall structure
3) Erosion remediation around outfall structure, including repair of sink hole, placement of
fabric and Class 1 riprap
4) Supply & Install chain link safety fence around outfall structure
5) Supply & Install grate on outfall structure
6) Flush outfall of any sediments
7) Restoration of working areas to existing conditions; and
8) Two (2) years of inspection and maintenance of outfall structure and landscaping
• Ted Hole Park Storm Outlet #8
1) Remove, dispose of and replace flare end
2) Remove and dispose of vegetation, tree, and/or sediment
3) Remove, dispose of and replace chain link safety fence around outfall structure
4) Remove, dispose of and replace dislodged upstream 750mm pipe segments to the nearest
manhole
5) Erosion remediation around outfall structure, including repair of sinkhole, placement of fabric
and Class 1 riprap
6) Supply & Install standard swing grate on outfall structure
7) Flush outlet of any sediments
8) Restoration of working areas to existing conditions; and
9) Two (2) years of inspection and maintenance of outfall structure and landscaping

websites. Please be aware that it is the Bidders responsibility to obtain any and all addenda from the
