The Senior CIPO Special Advisor will support the various CIPOADSD projects and initiatives in the management of Java and Legacy applications along with supporting CIPOADSD senior management in their response to CIPO special initiatives related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

SCOPE OF WORK / KEY ACTIVITIES

The scope of work for the Senior Project Executive/CIPO Special Advisor includes, but is not limited to the following:

Develop work plans and coordinate the effort deployed by development teams composed of professional services resources and ISED CIPOADSD`s internal staff;

Create integration strategies, identify interdependencies and roadmaps for solution delivery;

Develop high level strategies for implementation, data conversion, integration with other solutions and production;

Establish phases of work and key activities;

Provide scoping, development, integration and release approach and processes to ensure consistency between projects;

Provide strategic oversight on the quality of CIPO program initiatives;

Provide strategic advice to senior management related to business transformation and continuous improvements and applying digital transformation strategies;

Review organizational impacts of any changes including risk and change management processes;

Assist CIPOADSD management with the definition of key business outcomes and measurable metrics;

Prepare plans, charts tables and diagrams to assist in the analysis or the display of problems working with a variety of project management tools;

Assist CIPOADSD management with developing strategies for resolving any major issues related to the program initiatives and projects;

Assist project management with the day-to-day activities of the Java and Legacy CIPO`s Legislative projects as defined within the scope of the project(s);

Oversee project objectives, scope and budgets;

Ensure that the deliverables are produced and that the tasks are performed in accordance with the established project plans;

On behalf of senior management meet with organizational executives to ensure stakeholders are committed and moving forward on project and organizational goals;

Attend project related meetings with the other collaborative groups and client representatives;

Chair meetings with the project development teams and client representatives;

Liaise with clients to resolve any issues arising during projects life cycles;

Identify all project dependencies and risks, ensuring that they are effectively managed and reported to the Project Authorities;

Work collaboratively with project stakeholders and other team members and obtain agreements and commitment where required to successfully manage dependencies and expectations;

Provide mentoring, coaching and knowledge transfer to CIPOADSD employees;

Provide updates/status/dashboard reporting, briefing notes and presentations as required;

Other related duties.
