PROJECT OVERVIEW:
The City of Moncton requires the services of a Landscape and/or Civil Contractor to construct Parc Gérald LeBlanc Park, a celebratory plaza space that revitalizes a portion of the existing lawn at Moncton City Hall, located at 655 Main Street, in Moncton, N.B. (refer to Drawing #L-1 for location).
PRE-BID SITE MEETING:
A PRE-BID SITE MEETING will be held on TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 11, 2020 @ 10:30am - ATLANTIC TIME, at MONCTON CITY HALL (MAIN ENTRANCE), located at 655 MAIN STREET, MONCTON, N.B.
All interested parties are strongly encouraged to have a representative present at this meeting, as no subsequent meetings will be arranged.
BID SECURITY:
A BID BOND, CERTIFIED CHEQUE, MONEY ORDER, or IRREVOCABLE BANK LETTER OF CREDIT, made payable to "The City of Moncton", in the amount of TEN PERCENT (10%) OF THE TOTAL TENDERED PRICE (TAXES INCLUDED), shall accompany each bid as a guarantee that a Contract will be entered if a bid is accepted.
BANK DRAFTS SHALL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Any bid submitted with a Bank Draft as a bid security will be REJECTED.
MEMBERSHIP AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
In accordance with Article 49 - General Conditions of the City of Moncton's Standard Municipal Specifications (latest edition), the successful Contractor shall be required to provide a LETTER OF GOOD STANDING UNDER THE CERTIFICATE OF RECOGNITION PROGRAM (COR) issued by the NEW BRUNSWICK CONSTRUCTION SAFETY ASSOCIATION (NBCSA), or an acceptable equivalent, as a condition of award.
Any Landscape Contractors must be a member in good standing of the Canadian Nursery Landscape Association OR have current active membership in Landscape New Brunswick, and must have on staff a Landscape Industry Certified Technician (CLT) OR a Certified Journeyperson in the Landscape Horticulture Trade in NB. This is a requirement for any softscaping services.

PROJECT COMMENCEMENT AND COMPLETION DATES:
All work encompassed in this document shall commence as soon as site conditions are favorable in Spring 2020. The target completion date for this project is JUNE 25, 2020.
All construction materials, debris, and equipment must be removed from the work site no later than JUNE 29, 2020, in time for the Canada Day celebrations that will be taking place on July 1, 2020 in the immediate vicinity of the work site.
