Founded in 1908 as a board-governed public institution, the University of Alberta (University) in Edmonton, Alberta is one of Canada’s leading research-intensive Universities, with external research funding in excess of $460 million per year. The University is the largest postsecondary institution in the Province of Alberta with a student enrolment of approximately 38,000 full and part time students, and academic and support staff of approximately 15,000. On June 17, 2016 the Board of Governors unanimously approved For the Public Good, (Au service de l’intérêt public) as the University’s new institutional strategic plan. This approval followed the unanimous recommendation of the plan from General Faculties Council on May 30, 2016.
At the highest level, “For the Public Good” is meant to empower and enable each member of the University to build, experience, excel, engage, and sustain. The successful implementation of the plan will depend on all, individually and collectively, taking action.
This Request for Proposal (RFP) is being issued on behalf of The University of Alberta Board of Governors. Proponents are invited to submit a Proposal for the provision of providing Executive Recruitment Services for a University Presidential Search, in keeping with University Policy and Procedures.

The University is seeking a search firm, with demonstrated knowledge, experience and expertise in University Presidential searches.
