19-1578 - Sanitary District Study Update Program

The City of Calgary (The City) is seeking a qualified consulting firm to provide engineering consulting services for updating and recalibration of a number of individual Sanitary District Study (SDS) hydraulic models. Select existing hydraulic models require database updating and calibration using the latest system infrastructure data and flow and rainfall monitoring data to identify the current level of sanitary service and provide upgrade recommendations. Further to Section 1.3 of the RFP, it is The City’s intention to enter into Agreements with two (2) legal entities, with each Agreement pertaining to a separate design project. The proponent with the highest rating will become the Negotiations Proponent for Project 1 and the proponent with the second highest rating will become the Negotiations Proponent for Project 2. However, The City reserves the right to award more than one of such projects to one (1) proponent if the proponent with highest rating achieves a score that is 10% higher than the proponent with the second highest rating.

Hydraulic models to be updated under this RFP will be assigned as follows: Project 1 Phase 1: West Memorial Trunk SDS Phase 2: Nose Creek Trunk SDS Phase 3: Mckenzie SDS Project 2 Phase 1: Anderson- Midnapore Phase 2: Inner City –Glenmore SDS Phase 3: Forest Lawn SDS
Any Agreement resulting from this opportunity will have a duration lasting until project completion.
This procurement process is not intended to create and will not create a formal legally binding bidding process and will instead be governed by the law applicable to direct commercial negotiations.
