RFP Labour TES 20180419 - Transition to Employment Services 2018 Medicine Hat Area RFP

The intent of Transition to Employment Services is to provide eligible Albertans comprehensive and individualized services that enable them to acquire workplace and occupation related skills to re-enter the workforce as quickly as possible.

Clients will have access to three main components: Employment Placement and Supports; Job Matching; or Unpaid Work Exposure. All clients will receive overall services that include job search techniques, interview skills, resume writing, assessing skill gaps, understanding transferable skills, identifying the hidden job market, researching new sectors, generating employment leads, and direct job placement.

The outcome is to create a more flexible workforce that has the ability to navigate challenging ambiguous work environments.

Retention is also a critical component of the program. The proponent will need to provide job support services that will ensure support to the client and employer.

A variety of marketing strategies must be demonstrated for the recruitment of the targeted client base as well as potential employers, professional associations, and industry. It is expected proponents will outline in detail the marketing strategy by indicating the tool(s) that will be used. Please indicate the marketing type/method, duration, frequency and any costs associated with it to mitigate such risks (i.e. low self-directed client flow, employer recruitment, labour market fluctuations, new service provider and programming etc).
