19TDRAFD905 - Security Services at Incidents and Base Camps

Security services are required to control access, protect property and equipment, and regulate traffic. Security services may also be required at portable, remote fuelling sites, airtanker bases, serious incident/investigation sites and staging area camps and may be required on a 24-hour basis. The Contractor shall be paid one hourly rate per security guard regardless of the numbers of hours worked in the day (i.e., there is no overtime rate paid). Standard hours of operation at a wildfire are 14 consecutive hours (or less) in each day however, this amount can be extended up to 18 hours for the first three day of an uncontrolled wildfire and only when circumstance warrant it. The Contractor may provide security services to the following Forest Areas: Calgary, Rocky Mountain House, Edson, Whitecourt, Grande Prairie, Peace River, High Level, Slave Lake, Fort McMurray, and Lac La Biche (Forest Area boundaries. Forest Area boundaries can be found in Appendix B of this RFP).
