19-063 - Phased Recruitment and Applicant Tracking System

Calgary Fire Department, Calgary Community Standards and Calgary Transit (The City) use the HireDesk system for their phased recruitment and applicant tracking. The City is looking for a replacement for the HireDesk system which will not be available after June 2020 and interested in collaborating with suppliers of phased recruitment and applicant tracking to find alternative systems on the market.

The City has used other applications (Excel, Outlook, Eventbrite, PeopleSoft) to augment the functionality of HireDesk hence through this request would like to investigate other software suites that will meet business requirements. The goal is to improve phased recruitment processes to ensure that candidate applications are processed quickly and accurately during the hiring process and to make the application process as easy as possible for the candidates.

Suppliers who can provide Applicant Tracking System (ATS) that will effectively and efficiently manage the recruitment processes and candidate flow, create and store a database of candidates, manage and publish vacancies, process applications, invite and advance applicants through workflow stages should provide a response to this EOI.

The City intends to assess the information collected from this EOI to:
a.Determine the general level of interest from the market/industry;
b.Determine the solutions available from the market/industry as it relates to The City’s requirements; and
c.Prepare for a subsequent procurement process.
