The introduction of the new Treasury Board

Policy on Results , in conjunction with the government’s Results and Delivery mandate have increased the importance of planning, risk and performance reporting across Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC). Consequently, this translates to requiring urgent focus on enhancing the functionality/use/access of a centralized planning, risk and reporting solution.

The objective of this contract is to secure and engage the services of an experienced Strategic Advisory Team consisting of a senior level Business Transformation Architect and a senior level Application/Software Architect that will complement existing ESDC staff in the further assessment of ESDC’s current integrated business planning and performance reporting environment, and recommend a process to further integrate the Department’s overall integrated approach. It is envisioned that this would be captured through the development of a comprehensive Integrated Business Planning and Performance Reporting Road Map. Moreover, the plan would include explicit advice and direction on an appropriate Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) software product that could support the planning and performance community. Said advice and direction would include consideration of alignment to both implicated existing internal systems, as well as those being used/considered more broadly within the federal government.
