However, should an uninvited SA Holder wish to be invited, it may contact the Contracting Authority in writing to request an invitation at any time prior to five days before the published bid closing date, and an invitation will be made to that SA Holder. To ensure efficient operation of the procurement system, the Contracting Authority will invite no more than the first 10 SA Holders that request an invitation. In no circumstance will such an invitation require Canada to extend a bid closing date.

Description of Work:

1.0 Scope of Work

To effectively execute its mandate, CNSC recognizes the need to renew its corporate and mission critical applications as well as their network Infrastructure components. To mitigate the impact on end-user productivity IMTD must provide support to users through the product evolution. Due to its sensitive nature of regulating the use of nuclear materials, the CNSC is committed to ensuring that its operational and corporate IM / IT systems are efficiently maintained and continuously upgraded / enhanced to ensure that they are effective in supporting the Commission’s mandate. With this in mind, the CNSC has a requirement for a Level 2 Help Desk Specialist/Desktop Support resource for Technical and Functional Guidance and Support for CNSC members.

2.0 Summary of Duties

Image, install, replace and troubleshoot hardware, including, but not limited to PCs, laptops, tablets, printers, scanners, and multi-function devices in a network environment.  

Image testing and verification on Windows 7, 8.1 and 10 devices including, but not limited to desktop PCs, laptops, and tablets.

Asset Management, includes, but is not limited to shipping and receiving, tagging and data entry.

Assist in large moves of computer hardware.  

Assist in the roll-out of new applications, hardware and software.  

Develop and maintain technical documentation, processes and procedures.  

Assignment of responsibilities will depend on operational requirements as determined by the Team Leader.

3.0 Location of Work and Travel

The work is to be performed on-site at CNSC, 280 Slater Street.
