The work under this contract covers the furnishing of all labour, material, tools, equipment, plant, and supervision required to construct an access road and parking area to the north side of Poonamalie Dam on the Rideau Canal waterway system. The work involves the preparation and installation of a granular access road and parking area, and the supply and installation of a chain link fence. The project site is located in the city of Smiths Falls ON, with access from Salter Lane (Salter Lane, Smiths Falls, ON).

The Contractor shall perform and complete the Work within [ten] [10] weeks from the date of notification of acceptance of the offer.

OPTIONAL SITE VISIT There will be an optional site visit on September 18th, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. Interested bidders are to meet at the end of Salter Lane (Salter Lane, Smiths Falls, ON). Contractors may park along the shoulder of Salter Lane, but must not block road access or private driveway entrances. Attendees are to meet at: Parking lot in front of the building

Safety attire: The land is forested and protective gear is recommended.

Bidders will be requested to sign an attendance form. Bidders who do not attend or do not send a representative will not be given an alternative appointment but they will not be precluded from submitting a bid. Any clarification or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation.
