Description

Meeting facilities, accommodations and meal requirements through a Vendor who can host, accommodate and provide meals for up to 70 individuals for 11 consecutive days to enable the Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR) to deliver the SP300 training course in the Thunder Bay area.
Scope of Work
Meeting facilities, accommodations, and meal requirements for the Ministry trainees and instructors for the annual SP300 Initial Attack Incident Commander training courses being held in Thunder Bay, Ontario.

The SP300 training course will be a maximum of 11 consecutive days, and is considered an intense, demanding learning environment. This training is delivered annually in Thunder Bay, Ontario, to trainees to provide them with the necessary training required to safely and efficiently undertake the duties and responsibilities of Initial Attack Incident Commander on wildfires.

The training is primarily classroom based but also has some field components. Field sites have to be accessed with as minimal travel time as possible. The classrooms and breakout rooms are required on a 24-hour basis while the training is in session due to the large amount of equipment that is set-up as well as any after hour study session that may be required. They must also be of sufficient size to accommodate the large number of students and the technology utilized.
