201943 - NOI-25-0012 – Gallery Plus Beer Master Discrete Photometric Analyzer with BCM Unit

Notice is hereby given by Okanagan College (the “College”) of its intent to purchase a Gallery Plus Beer Master Discrete Photometric Analyzer with Bitterness Column Module BCM Unit from Thermo Fisher Scientific for use in the College’s BC Beverage Technology Access Centre (BC BTAC) on its Penticton Campus. This equipment along with the included BCM module and computer will be used to simultaneously automate the determination of analytes including beta-glucan, FAN, and SO2 from the same beverage sample using discrete cell technology.

The proposed purchase includes equipment, installation, onsite training, a one (1) year factory warranty and a one (1) year extended warranty. The proposed budget for the purchase of these products and services as described in Section 2 below is $ 143,220.00 (taxes and shipping included) after an in-kind contribution of $ 32,322.70 from Thermo Fisher Scientific.

Suppliers wishing to challenge this decision should submit in writing by email to Kevin Schmautz, Procurement Officer, the reasons for their objection, addressing the College’s business requirements as set out in Section 2, and confirming a proven ability to provide equivalent goods and services.

Any and all objections received by the closing date and time below will be given due consideration prior to the College engaging in Contract negotiations. If justified, a Supplier's meeting, with College representatives present to discuss the decision, will be called to receive Supplier representations regarding this intent to negotiate an agreement. The College’s decisions in this regard will be final.
