Description

The City of West Kelowna is inviting proposals for the construction of a new bulk sodium hypochlorite storage facility, sodium hypochlorite feed system, and buried yard piping for conveying hypochlorite to each of the three hypochlorite dosing locations. Additional work will also be required to extend the area adjacent to the new facility for chemical deliveries.

The three chlorine dosing locations will be established:
(1) after the UV reactor and before the treated water reservoir,
(2) at the raw water bypass, and
(3) in the treated water valve chamber after the treated water reservoir.

The facility shall be furnished with appropriate storage vessels and pumping systems to provide a target chlorine residual. Electrical and building mechanical components shall also be included such that the facility functions as per the design intention and complies with the relevant codes and standards.

The work will be performed under a CCDC2 (2020) Stipulated Sum standard agreement as amended by the City’s Supplementary General Conditions.
