The following changes to the Bid Specifications are issued in accordance with INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS, SECTION 00100, Contract/Bid Documents, Sub-Section 7.5, and are to be incorporated in the Bid Documents. One signed copy of this Addendum must be included in the Bid Submission along with the BID FORM.

WATER FILTRATION PLANT UPGRADE
Sealed Bids, clearly marked as to contents, for the construction of the above works which generally consists of demolition and removal of existing water filtration equipment and process piping, supply, installation and commissioning of new filtration and UV disinfection equipment, process piping, electrical, restoration and all related work, will be received until 10:00 am local time on Thursday, May 9, 2024. The name of the Bidding Firm and the title of the Project shall be clearly marked on the envelope. There will be no public bid opening following the closing. The preliminary assessment results will be posted on NBON under "tender results" following the tender closing.
A mandatory site visit will be held on Tuesday, April 30,2024 at 10:00 am local time at the project site (water treatment plant) located at 26 Mill Street, Riverside-Albert, NB. Contractors note that the site visit is mandatory and bids will not be received from Contractors who fail to attend.
Bid documents may only be obtained electronically from the New Brunswick Opportunities Network (NBON) website under "Attachments" on the tender notice advertisement. It is the Bidder's responsibility to download and print all the bid documents, including all addenda issued during the bid period, and deposit their completed bid with all the required documents in the manner and time prescribed for the submission of bids.

A bid security in the amount of 10% of the total bid (including HST) minimum made payable to the Village of Fundy Albert must accompany each bid. The successful Bidder will be required to provide, in conformance with the Construction Remedies Act, a Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond, each in the amount of fifty (50) percent of the value of the Contract, or a ten (10) percent Certified Cheque upon award of contract.
All bidders shall submit their Letter of Good Standing under the Certificate of Recognition program issued by the NBCSA or an acceptable equivalent with their tender package.
The lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted.
