Description

The City is seeking a qualified consultant to undertake a comprehensive review and update of the City’s Municipal Development Plan (MDP).
Further growth, the existence of large areas of the City currently without a planning framework
(i.e., no ASP or Outline Plan), and the age of the current document at approximately 10 years,
add to the importance of confirming the community vision, objectives and city-wide policy framework and this juncture.
The MDP Update represents a high-priority project for the City and has a compressed timeline with a completion deadline of July 1, 2025. This end-date is fixed as it is a mandate of the Calgary
Metropolitan Region Board (CMRB) Growth Plan that member municipalities update their MDPs to be consistent with the Plan within three (3) years of the Plan coming into effect.
