Description

Through this RFB, the ministries listed below are seeking a qualified Vendor(s) to supply and deliver leather gloves, mitts and/or cut resistant slash gloves, (the “Deliverables”).

•The Ministry of the Solicitor General (Solicitor General). For greater certainty, the Solicitor General includes Correctional Services, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), the Office of the Fire Marshal (OFM) and the Animal Welfare Services (AWS);

•The Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services (MCCSS);

•The Ministry of Transportation (MTO);

•The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MNRF); and

•The Ministry of Finance (MOF).
Scope of Work
The RFB consists of the following eleven (11) categories:

• Category 1: Leather Gloves - Casual Winter;
• Category 2: Leather Gloves – Lined;
• Category 3: Leather Dress Gloves - Unlined;
• Category 4: Unlined Motorcycle Gauntlet Gloves;
• Category 5: Lined Motorcycle Gauntlet Gloves;
• Category 6: Tactical Gloves;
• Category 7A and 7B: Arctic Mitts and Insert;
• Category 8: Leather Mitts – Lined;
• Category 9: Ceremonial Dress Gloves;
• Category 10: Fire Resistant Gloves; and
• Category 11: Cut Resistant Leather Slash Gloves.

Bidders may submit a Bid for one (1) category, more than one (1), or all of the categories. Each category will be evaluated and awarded separately. Therefore, Bidders wishing to submit a Bid for more than one (1) category must submit a separate Bid for each category.

The Ministry will hold a voluntary Bidder information session by teleconference on the date and time below:
Date: December 21, 2023
Time: 10:00 – 10:30 (Toronto time).

Interested Bidders are asked to register with the Ministry Contact via email Yousif Adam no later than 16:00 Toronto time on December 20, 2023. Upon registration, the teleconference information will be provided.

The purpose of the voluntary Bidder information session is to assist prospective Bidders in understanding the procurement process in a formal tendering environment and to provide an overview of the Ministry’s requirements, as set out in the RFB. All interested Bidders are strongly encouraged to register for this voluntary Bidder information session.

Any questions related to the Deliverables will not be answered during the Bidder information session. Bidders are requested to submit their questions relating to the Deliverables in writing via e-mail to the Ministry Contact identified in section 1.1.8.

The responses to all questions received by the Bidder’s deadline for questions will be posted on Jaggaer as an addendum to this RFB as per the schedule outlined in section 1.1.14.
