Description

Red Deer County is requesting Bids for our Roadside Mowing Services. The term of the contract will be for the 2024, 2025 and 2026 mowing seasons. with an option to extend for an additional year in 2027 and another additional year in 2028.
Red Deer County is comprised of 10 hamlets, 75 residential multi-lot subdivisions and 11 industrial and commercial business parks, spanning across 60 townships (in part or whole), for a total area of approximately 3,949 square kilometres.
The work consists of cutting grass and light brush (up to 50mm stem diameter) on rural municipal range road and township road Right-of-Ways (ROWs) within Red Deer County. The different cut methods to be performed are:
- Shoulder cuts (4.0 meter minimum)
- Full ROW cuts (road shoulder to property line) *
Trimming around road infrastructure
*Whenever possible
