Rescue and Standby Services - Rescue and Standby Services

The scope of work will include, but is not limited to, Confined Space Entry Standby and Rescue Services as well as Fall Protection Standby and Rescue Services during maintenance work at the ACRWC.

Requirements of Work:

Before every project requiring standby and/or rescue services, a site assessment, a rescue plan and an Operations & Maintenance Service Work Request (Schedule B) with quote must be provided before work can commence.

All personnel used on ACRWC sites must be certified or properly trained and Competent to meet the OH&S and ACRWC safety requirements. The ACRWC reserves the right to ask for safety records. The contractor will complete Field Level Hazard Assessments and provide copies to the ACRWC.

The contractor will assign a prime contact to coordinate services needed by the ACRWC. Key personnel changes must be approved by ACRWC. The contractor must be able to provide service with in 24 hours and give at least 48 hours notice of change in schedule. During a change in weather events, the contractor must be able to adapt. If needed, the ACRWC must approve all subcontractors before service is provided. The Contractor will provide all material, labour and equipment needed to provide the service (E.g. Defibrillators, SCBA, gas detectors, rescue equipment and first aid supplies). ACRWC will be prime contractor unless otherwise notified.
