This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by the City of St. Albert (the “City”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for Pre-Employment Services as further described in Section A of the RFP Particulars (Appendix B) (the “Deliverables”).
To support with the recruitment process, this RFP is to secure one Proponent to provide a robust pre-employment screening program suitable for the City to use on an as-needed basis. The volume can vary between candidates requiring pre-employment checks per month. Pre-employment checking services include, but are not limited to:
• Reference Checks
• Motor Vehicle Records – Regular and Commercial Drivers Abstracts.
• Police Information Checks.
• Eligibility to work in Canada Confirmation/ Identity Verification – SIN Number Verification.
• Academic verification - A minimum confirmation of high school credentials is required for most positions.
• Credential check (e.g., verification of current registration in professional associations).
• Optional: Ability to conduct a review of applicant’s social media to flag issues or concerns.
The selected Proponent will be able to demonstrate the following:
• The capability to provide the full spectrum of background checking services (mandatory)
• Extensive experience in providing pre-employment checks
• Rapid turnaround times
• Security and Confidentiality in records transfer and retention
• Past Performance and References
