EREP:(NFPA) Awareness Training

Purpose:
The CCG requires online National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Awareness training for emergency responders. This training is intended to prepare any personnel who, in the course of their regular duties, could encounter an emergency involving hazardous materials (HAZMAT) and who must recognize the presence of the hazardous materials/Weapons of Mass Destruction (HAZMAT/WMD), protect themselves, call for trained personnel, and secure the scene. Upon successful completion of the programs the participants must be provided with certificates that include a International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC) or National Board on Fire Service Professional Qualifications (Pro Board) Seal
Background Information:
The Canadian Coast Guard (CCG) is the lead federal agency responsible for ensuring the cleanup of all ship source and mystery source pollution spills into waters under Canadian jurisdiction. In fulfillment of this legislated mandate, the CCG maintains a level of operational preparedness capacity to monitor, investigate, and respond, when required, to all reports of marine pollution incidents.

Participation in this RFI is encouraged, but is not mandatory. There will be no short-listing of potential suppliers for the purposes of undertaking any future work as a result of this RFI. Similarly, participation in this RFI is not a condition or prerequisite for the participation in any potential subsequent solicitation.
Respondents will not be reimbursed for any cost incurred by participating in this RFI.
