Description

The objective of this RFB is to request bids for one (1) 22-foot aluminum landing craft (flat front style boat), a compatible trailer, and a 200 horsepower (hp) motor with mount for the Kenora Fire Management Headquarters. This boat package is to be used as a form of transportation for Fire Rangers to provide Initial and Sustained Attack to forest fire activity on Lake of the Woods. Delivery of the vessel and all components must be done no later than March 31, 2023.
The Ministry is also seeking to trade in two boats, the first being a 1989 22-foot Henley boat with a 1998 100 hp Evinrude motor currently in service condition and a compatible trailer. The second boat to be traded in is a 22-foot aluminum hull welded boat in service condition with a 2010 200 hp Yamaha motor and compatible trailer. The trade in items are to be utilized as a credit towards the purchase of the new vessel, trailer and motor requested within this bid.
Scope of Work
The Kenora Fire Management Headquarters is looking to purchase a boat package which is to include a boat, motor, and trailer. This will replace the older current model in operation and provide efficient response for wild fire suppression on the body of water known as Lake of the Woods. The boat package needs to be received by the Ministry prior to March 31, 2023. It will need to be delivered to the Kenora Fire Management Headquarters in Kenora, Ontario.
