RFT#2023-02-16 - RFT - East Coulee Flood Work Phase 1 & 2 #2023-02-16

The Scope of Work for this project shall include, but is not limited to, the following:
• Stripping/Clearing/Grubbing as required
• Common Excavation
• Borrow Excavation – Contractor’s Supply
• Fill Placement and Compaction to Specifications
• Culverts – Supply and Install – Various Diameter and Type
• Screened Topsoil – Supply and Place
• Seeding / Sodding
• Heavy Rock Riprap Class 1M and 2 – Supply and Placement
• Permanent Erosion Protection
• Care of Water, including but not limited to, river and creek flows, surface water run-off,
groundwater, and River Diversion
• Fish Capture and Release
• Other Work

Unless otherwise specified, the Contractor shall supply all materials necessary to complete the Work. A complete job is called for, therefore any labour, material, equipment, tool or incidental item not specifically mentioned but necessary for completeness will be considered incidental to the Work and no separate or additional payment will be made. The work for this Project will be completed in 2 Phases. Phase 1 works are scheduled to commence in July 2023, pending receipt of regulatory approvals and authorizations. The Contractor shall schedule their operations to complete Phase 1 Work (not including landscaping and instream works including riprap placement) by November 30, 2023. Phase 1 landscaping works must be completed by May 31, 2024. Phase 1 instream works must be completed prior to April 15, 2024 (if conditions allow) or by November 30, 2024 if conditions do not allow. The Contractor shall schedule their operations to complete Phase 2 (all of the Work under this Contract) by November 30, 2024. The Contractor will be informed when Phase 2 work can begin but is currently scheduled to commence Spring 2024. Commencement of Phase 1 and Phase 2 works are subject to the Town receiving regulatory approvals and permits along with completing necessary land acquisition to complete the work.
