Description

For the primary purpose of wildfire detection, the Province requires the services of one (1) Cessna 208 Caravan, and one (1) Cessna 206 Stationair. These aircraft will have the primary function of flying set aerial patrol routes and reporting wildfire activity within the Forest Protection Area of Alberta.

These aircraft may also be utilized to perform multiple other required duties such as but not limited to wildfire assessments, and staff transportation. The aircraft will be positioned throughout Alberta depending on fire hazard and provincial requirements. The aircraft may be repositioned with minimal notice, and for indefinite periods of time.

The Province will guarantee 60 consecutive days for each aircraft in each year of the Contract over a two (2) year term. There are no guaranteed flying hours during the 60 consecutive day guarantee.
