23TDRRSD831 - Paddle and Pembina Dyke Options Study

The work will consist of an assessment of whether it is possible to achieve the original design intention of the Pembina dyke system, a price estimate on what it would cost to achieve the original design intention, and a cost benefit analysis of whether it is worth it to fix the dykes in part or as a system.
 Background Information: Review available drawings, reports, and other available data.
 Field inspection: to assess the current condition of the Pembina River Dykes, consultant could consider the use of a boat as access by foot or vehicle is difficult.
 A drone survey including visible imagery and elevation data of the dyke extent in Figure 2.2.
 Assessment:
 A detailed analysis of the current state of the Pembina River dykes including the flow protection capacity and the structural condition.
 An estimate of the cost of continuing to maintain the dyke system and to prevent further degradation
 The cost required to repair the dykes to the original design intent.
 The economic benefit derived from the as designed dyke system.
