Subject: Tender 2022-12 Sidewalk Replacement/Landscaping Project
Clear Hills County is requesting sealed tenders for the removal, disposal, and replacement of concrete sidewalk, as well as removal, disposal, and replacement of electrical receptacle pedestals and buried electrical cable along sidewalk and required landscaping to accommodate proper drainage away from the County Administration Building and property located at 313 Alberta Avenue in Worsley, Alberta.
Total area of sidewalk to be removed, disposed of, and replaced: @ 300 square meters
Electrical pedestals to be removed: 13
Electrical pedestals to be replaced: 5
Scope of Project:
• Remove and dispose of all existing sidewalk, reinforcing materials, underlayment, Electrical pedestals, and underground cable to a licensed landfill.
• Replace sidewalks, reinforcing materials, underlayment, electrical pedestals, and underground cable with materials that conform to the Alberta Building Code, and Alberta Electrical Code, and using application methods that conform to the Alberta Building Code and Alberta Electrical Code.
• Provide land contouring to allow for proper drainage including replacement of any sod that needs to be removed.
• New sidewalks will have a minimum one year warranty for cracking, heaving, and deterioration.
• Bidder is responsible for providing all equipment and materials as required to meet all OH&S regulations.
Clear Hills County will hold a mandatory viewing for potential bidders to measure and inspect the existing sidewalks and landscaping to assist with their bidding process at 9:00 a.m. July 27, 2022. Bidders must attend this viewing to be eligible to bid this project.
Include the following information in the sealed quote:
1. The attached Tender Bid Price Form MUST be filled out in full and accompany the tender.
2. Warranty specifications of all materials and labor due to either defective materials or installation.
3. Any special payment requirements.
4. Earliest possible start date. (Target completion date is September 30th, 2022)
SEALED BIDS clearly marked with the Tender Number 2022-12-Sidewalk Replacement/ Landscaping Project, must be delivered to the Clear Hills County office no later than 4:00 p.m. August 12, 2022.
Hand delivery is recommended, do not courier quotes as Worsley does not have daily service. If mailing quotes, please ensure adequate time for the deadline August 12, 2022 at 4:00 p.m.
Faxed or emailed bids will not be accepted.
Bids will be opened at 9:35 a.m. on August 16, 2022, in the Clear Hills County Council Chambers at 313 Alberta Avenue in Worsley, Alberta.
