22-1579 - The Supply and Delivery of Autonomous Electric Rotary Mowers

1) This RFP is open to all interested Suppliers.
The City of Calgary (“the City”) is seeking proposals from organizations with the ability to supply and deliver autonomous electric rotary mowers to be used by various internal departments. The Supplier will be required to provide initial set up installation and ongoing support on an as required basis. The City requires autonomous electric rotary mowers, to be used for mowing of larger field areas throughout the City, including unattended Parks, Recreation facilities and golf courses during off hours. The initial Unit will participate in a Proof-of-Concept phase for the initial mowing season to ensure the Unit meets the requirements of the end user. Details of this process is outlined in Clause 4 of Appendix F – Deliverables. If successful, The City will reach out to the Supplier to collaborate and finalize new Unit specifications and options prior to ordering in order to ensure the accuracy of Units before delivery to site.
2) This procurement process is not intended to create, and, will not create, a formal, legally binding bidding process. It will instead be governed by the law applicable to direct commercial negotiations
3) “Unless specified otherwise elsewhere in the Information Table under Agreement(s), Terms, Renewal and Proof of Concept (PoC), it is The City’s intention to enter into an Agreement with only one (1) legal entity. The Agreement may include a PoC for a period to be specified in the Information Table. The Deliverables are included in one (1) schedule. The City intends to enter into one (1) Agreements for the provision of the Deliverables. The Agreements will be for a term of two (2) years. The Agreements may be renewed for two (2) additional two (2) year terms, not to exceed a maximum of six (6) years. The Agreement will include a PoC.
