Description

The County of Minburn invites proposals through this RFP for a qualified consultant to develop an Economic Development Strategy (EDS) that is tailored to the County of Minburn.

This strategy will identify opportunities to support and grow existing business, attract new investment, increase the number of available jobs that will appeal to skilled workers, thereby increasing the overall population and wealth generation of the County. The EDS shall provide relevant direction, outlining goals and outcomes for the County’s Economic Development initiatives. Also, this strategy should identify areas where sub-regional partnerships can be established with other municipalities. To secure a qualified consultant to provide the County of Minburn with a comprehensive EDS that is tailored to our municipality while utilizing and integrating existing economic development data and documents.

The EDS will address issues raised by administration, Council, and the community as part of the engagement process. The final document will identify opportunities to grow existing businesses and attract investment through a comprehensive marketing strategy while setting a clear direction for future investment and growth. Final endorsed EDS shall be completed by December 30, 2022.
