Description

This Request for Expressions of Interest (RFEOI) seeks to attract private sector creativity to help advance the strategic priorities.. Specifically, the City of Lacombe currently owns and maintains the former Parkland Regional Library building (5404 56 Avenue).

The City is willing to sell or lease this building and provide a corresponding 10-25 year lease to occupy the site. After the term, the City will consider providing a one-time land lease extension of up to 5 years. Proposals aligning with the current Community Service (CS) zoning are preferred but not required. All utilities, regular maintenance, and capital improvements are the obligation of the proponent.

The City of Lacombe has issued this Request for Expressions of Interest (RFEOI) for prospective private industry partners interested in submitting EOIs in support of one or more of the following Council strategic priorities:
 4.1.4 Fiscal Prudence
o Identify and consider alternative revenue sources
 4.2.1. Economic Growth
o Expanding the City’s commercial tax base
o Consider how the City can assist with development for business attraction and retention
 4.2.3 Healthy Retail
o Expand the City’s mandate to more formally partner with existing business community
 4.3.4 Economic Prosperity
o Create a plan for underperforming City property
