RDBN-CLFD-2021 - Cluculz Lake Rural Fire Department Fire Hall RFP

In the spring of 2020, a consultant was hired to conduct a comprehensive study on the CLVFD which included administrative duties, operational activities, as well as the feasibility of the future of the rural fire service. One of the deficiencies that were outlined in the report was the lack of an appropriate Firehall. The current Firehall only has room for one piece of apparatus, minimal storage, and no training/meeting room. As a result of this report, the Electoral Area Director for the Regional District has set aside funding to construct a suitable Firehall for the CLVFD Rural Fire Protection Service.
The intention of this Request for Proposal is to obtain quotes from proponents for the design/build of a fire hall, that can demonstrate the ability to deliver a high quality, well-managed project from the design stage to construction completion. The contract shall include, but not be limited to, all design and construction documents, budget monitoring, construction, and project management. The project will also follow the "Wood First Act" of British Columbia.
