Sioux Lookout, Ontario ISC 5-Plex Residential Complex Renovations Project Number: R.102042.001
PROJECT SCOPE OF WORK:
The Sioux Lookout 5-Plex is a residential building in a row house construction with five independent units.
Originally constructed in 1985, the single structure is two storeys in building height, with a full basement and unheated attic space. Each unit is an individual 2-bedroom suite with private exterior entrances. The work includes:
1) Remove Chimneys:
remove the chimneys down below the existing roof line where they can be capped and finished to match the existing adjacent materials. The existing roof line would continue over top of the chimney
2) Stairwell Window Repairs: To address the proximity of the window sills to the lower roofs, the windows will be reduced in size and raised. The windows will be replaced with new shorter units, with the sill height raised approximately 150 mm higher than the existing.
3) Carport Roof Repairs: Replace the brick-clad wood support posts with new steel HSS posts. Raise the existing concrete bases a minimum of 100 mm above finished grade. Remove and replace the built-in eaves trough section.
The Contractor must perform and complete the Work within 20 weeks from the date of notification of acceptance of the offer.
PROJECT VALUE:
The estimated cost for this project is between $100,001 to $500,000 (HST extra).
OPTIONAL SITE VISIT
There will be an optional site visit on Wednesday, October 28th 2020 at 11:00 AM EST.
Interested bidders are to meet in the parking lot of the complex at 72-7th Avenue, Sioux Lookout, ON X1X 1X1. Interested bidders MUST register 72 hours prior with the Contracting Officer, Zobia Essa at Zobia.Essa@tpsgc-pwgsc.gc.ca, by Monday, October 26th, 10:00 AM to confirm attendance.
Bidders are to text the Departmental Representative upon arrival and stay in their vehicles until they receive a text from the Departmental Representative letting them know the meeting is ready to start. Once all bidders have arrived, Departmental Representative to text all bidders to meet at front entrance. Bidders will meet at in the parking lot at the front entrance for attendance and briefing.
Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation.
NOTE: As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the following precautions are mandatory during the site visit:
Bidders are to preregister 72 hours prior to the site visit, if they are not preregistered they will not be permitted to attend the site visit
Wear a Non-medical masks/face covering at all times while outside of vehicle. Maintain 2m social distancing at all time. Observe proper hand hygiene while on site. Sanitize hands before entering the building and after exiting. Attendees should bring hand sanitizer. Attendance will be taken by Bidders announcing their name and Departmental Representative recording (no list passed around). Bidder self-screening and declaration that not ill is required at arrival. Avoid social greetings (e.g. shaking hands).
