Description

This specification describes a 2020 24 HP diesel ride on mower, equivalent in size and capability to a John Deere X754, with the following minimum specifications considered necessary to perform the work assigned.

Proponents are encouraged to propose different classes of machines, different types of machines, and different options on the machines that they feel will be of greater benefit to the City than what is currently being used. Examples may include larger machines, quick attach/detach cabs, hydraulic brooms, etc. The City is expecting that proponents will understand the capabilities of their machines and will be able to propose the best machine for the intended use. At a minimum, proponents are encouraged to include in their proposal a machine that meets the defined specifications of the Proposal as well as any other machines and options that are felt to be of benefit to the City.

This mower is used for cutting grass at the Dow Center and sidewalk snow removal using a John Deere 52 inch rotary broom.

The City of Fort Saskatchewan replaces mowers every three years. Proponents may submit a proposal to take advantage of this trade-in program or to modify the trade-in program. Programs will be evaluated based on their cost effectiveness for the City.
