Description of the requirement:

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) requires the services of a Level 3 Business Solution Architect SAP PSCD specialist.

Site Description

The site is located in the entrance to Victoria Harbor. The property is entirely developed and secured by 24/7 on site security and chain link fencing. Structures include six special purpose buildings, 600 foot wharf and marine infrastructure, helicopter hangar and apron, paved operations areas and three parking lots. Vegetation consists of horticulture and native plants and trees and several large lawns and garden beds including a roof top lawn and garden.

The majority of the Canadian Coast Guard site is built on reclaimed waterfront property highly visible to the general public and Cruise Ship pedestrian traffic. Areas adjacent to the public sidewalk and Admin Building rooftop will be maintained and completed at the beginning of every service visit to maintain the best public perception of care of care of lawns of lawns and gardens.

It is not the intent of the landscape contract to produce and maintain a “show piece”. The intent of the contract is to maintain a safe, healthy and peaceful space that both the client and visitors find appealing and unpretentious.

The standard of landscaping at the Canadian Coast Guard Base is one of low impact on the environment and forethought toward maintaining both native, domestic and transition vegetation areas. The control/elimination of fertilizers, pesticides and weed control products, will be done by Best Practices in accordance to industry best practices, must assure good water quality and non-contamination of marine tanks and associated gear stored on the property. It also assures that wildlife is not harmed. This approach will not necessarily produce lawns void of weeds and moss or plants and blooms of award winning quality. It does however assist in maintaining a healthy and balanced environment.

Work Schedule

As the Canadian Coast Guard Base is considered a 24/7 operation motorized work will be scheduled to be done on Saturdays, with “un-motorized” work performed all other days.

The minimum level of effort required is 8 hours per week.

Scheduled work will not interfere with day to day operations of the base and specific directions will be given and strictly adhered to when work is arranged to be performed on the perimeter of the helicopter operations area.

Hours of work will be 0800 – 1630 Hours, Monday – Saturday.
