Description

The Audit and Compliance Assurance Unit (ACAU) assesses and reassesses physician submitted Fee for Service (FFS) claims for compliance, facilitates recovery of readjusted payments and promotes compliance with the Alberta Health Care Insurance Act (Act), the Alberta Health Care Insurance Plan (Plan), the Schedule of Medical Benefits (Schedule) and other pertinent legislation. The ACAU seeks the expertise of a Medical Consultant to assist in operational activities and policy development. This consultant will provide specialized support for compliance reviews, expert opinions on health service code application and guidance on legislative and professional standards.
