24TDR903 - Wildfire Investigations – Fire Debris Forensics

Fire Debris Forensics services will be requested on an “as-needed” basis, with no guarantee of work, to support the provinces wildfire investigators with investigations. The successful Proponent will provide analysis of wildfire debris samples in order to identify ignitable liquid residues or other substances in a sample. They will be expected to follow chain of evidence procedures, and handle evidence according to best practices. The Proponent may also be required to conduct research related to wildfire debris samples. The successful Proponent will work as a team with provincial and area investigators on site of a wildfire incident, in an office setting, or remotely. The Proponent’s resources may be required to testify in court regarding the results of their analyses or related subject matter.
