Description

Lakeland College is seeking to develop an Institutional Academic Framework that will guide teaching and learning, and program development including both new programming as well as annual and cyclical comprehensive reviews. The Academic Framework will be composed of collaboratively developed components that will be identified through a change management and engagement process with Lakeland Stakeholders. The scope of involves the following components.
1. An environmental scan of several other Post-Secondary Academic frameworks.
2. Review of Lakeland College’s current Academic framework
3. Facilitation of a Vision for the Academic Framework.
4. Draft of the key components of the Academic Framework based on 1-3 above.
5. Final version of the Academic Framework which will include the key components of the framework and will be developed based on feedback from engagement sessions with Lakeland College stakeholders.
6. Report of the policies and procedures that will need to be updated or developed to support the Academic Framework including policies and procedures for any of the key components.
7. Development of a process/model for developing the components and suggested timelines and priorities for completion of each component.
Engagement, change management, training and communication are essential considerations for the success of the development of the Academic Framework. A successful proposal will include these considerations as part of the workplan.
This work does not involve the development of the key components of the Academic Framework.
