EPCOR is seeking a qualified contract for the engineering design for the modifications required to increase capacity to the existing Castle Downs site (16253 97 St NW, Edmonton, Alberta).
This scope of Work shall include, but is not limited to the following:
Civil / Structural Works (CW) detailed design; calculations; estimating and schedule forecast for engineering activities; issuing of IFC drawings; preparation of scope of CW with bill of materials required for RFP documents for calling civil contractors for competitive bidding of CW; participating in evaluation of received bids for CW; attendance at weekly progress meetings with civil contractor; approval of materials, specifications, and construction methods and approval of laboratory and any other tests; verification and pre-approval of contractors’ progress reports and progress invoices; approval of quality and compliance with standards, guides, recommendations, EPCOR’s technical requirements, specifications, and good engineering practice of completed civil works; supervision of completion, closeout and final payments of civil works.
High Voltage (HV) studies, analyses, estimating and schedule forecast for engineering activities; calculations (HV studies), issuing of IFC drawings; preparation of scope with bill of materials required for RFP documents for competitive bidding of control building scope; participating in evaluation of received bids for control building scope; attendance at weekly progress meetings with contractor; approval of materials, specifications, and construction methods and approval of any quality control tests; verification and pre-approval of contractors’ progress reports and progress invoices; detailed design and procurement of a control building for the Castle Downs substation as per IEEE and CSA standards, EPCOR guidelines and recommendations; EPCOR’s technical requirements, specifications and good engineering practices.
The Successful Proponent will work closely with EPCOR and other consultants to ensure that the Work is completed on time and within budget.
