Description

The City of Fredericton wishes to develop a multi-year Electric Vehicle (EV) Strategy with the goals of:
- preparing Fredericton to become an EV-ready city by responding to the growing demand for EV infrastructure and services in a strategic fashion in line with our Municipal Plan, built form guidelines and land use vision,
- building partnerships and establishing roles for deployment of EV charging infrastructure in Fredericton,
- encouraging and supporting the faster adoption of EV charging infrastructure by the private sector in Fredericton,
- integrating and finding efficiencies between public EV charging and municipal fleet charging,
- along with partners, increasing public awareness, creating interest, and lowering barriers to adoption,
- developing direct actions to help meet our GHG emission reduction targets and federal/provincial ZEV sales targets, and
- promoting electric mobility while encouraging active, public, and shared mobility.
