An RFP for a Health Information System (HIS) solution has been issued by the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador. The proposed HIS will be replacing the functionality of Meditech Magic at the Western Health regional hospital site as services and will provide a comprehensive set of modern and advanced clinical modules to enhance clinical delivery, health information management, and patient experience for all areas of healthcare.

The Province of Newfoundland and Labrador is a participating member and supporter of the objectives of the Council of Atlantic Premiers Joint Procurement Initiative. Proponents must agree to make available the goods and services defined in the Agreement to the other Atlantic Provinces on the same terms and conditions. The Preferred Supplier may only provide the goods and services specified in the Agreement to another eligible jurisdiction by way of a separate contract.
