Description

The Government Translation Service (GTS) in the Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery (MPBSD) provides official terminology services and translation management expertise to Ontario ministries and agencies.
The Ministry is reviewing which technology solutions available on the market are supporting modernized and cost-efficient (French/English) translation services delivery.
The Ministry may use the information gathered from the RFI to understand advancements in technology and determine the next steps of a potential procurement process.
Scope of Work
The technology solutions MPBSD is looking to better understand are solution(s) that support Translation Project Management, Computer Aided Translation, Ontario’s Terminology database and Machine Translation.
The RFI outlines the current state for the OPS translation process and user groups, with an overview of the service delivery volumes and information technology (IT) landscape. The Ministry has outlined potential future state IT landscape and delivery outcomes.
Respondents are asked to provide a detailed response for each of the questions included in this RFI.
Responses should consider the complexity and magnitude of translation services delivery in the OPS, in alignment with the outlined future state requirements. Questions cover topics related to Accessibility, Business Continuity, Privacy and Security, Configuration, Customization and Expandability, Implementation, Integration and Licencing, and Service Level Agreement, among other topics.
This RFI is issued for information gathering purposes and is not intended to be part of a formal, legally binding bidding process.
Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, this RFI will not necessarily result in any subsequent negotiations, direct contract award, invitational tendering process or open tendering process and does not constitute a commitment by the Ministry to procure any goods or services. Any pricing figures submitted by respondents shall be for general information purposes and will not be binding on suppliers.
