SCOPE
Service New Brunswick (SNB) is publishing a tender on behalf of the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure (DTI) to award a contract for THE WILLIAM PITT II F99 ferry refit, equip, and test.
CONTRACT AWARD CRITERIA
Contract will be award to the lowest compliant bid which meet the requirements detailed within the attached Specifications for Items 1 of the tender documents as well as delivery requirements.
Prior to Contract award, (DTI) may consult with other departments and agencies of the Province of New Brunswick to obtain information on the Vendor's past performance within the previous five (5) years. Results from the aforementioned consultations that are unsatisfactory to the Department, in its sole and absolute discretion, will result in the disqualification of the Vendor's bid.
DELIVERY DATE
The Ferry shall be ready for delivery on or before October 25th, 2022. The Contractor shall successfully complete all Work and Trials, which shall be conducted at the shipyard, to the satisfaction of the Owner and Class. Final acceptance and approvals from the Owner and Class along with redeliver to the Owner in the Saint John Harbour is to be completed by January 10th, 2023.
BIDDER'S CONFERENCE
A briefing conference will be scheduled after the release of the tender documents. Appropriate Owner's Representative will be present at the Briefing Conference to respond to Bidders' questions and concerns.
BID SECURITY
According to item 13 of the attached bid requirements document, bid security is mandatory and MUST be included as a scanned copy with your bid submission. Prior to the commencement of work, the "physical" bid security MUST be provided to the Department. A bid bond, certified cheque, bank draught, or money order in the amount of $50,000.00 payable to the Minister of Finance may be used as bid security. Paper bids will not be accepted.
